This year is about Music, Graffiti and murals from Chicago, Dominican Republic and Haiti. I tried to incorporate the spirit into this series of posters which will be on sale at the event.
A few weeks ago I was notified that this image had won this competition out of thousands of entries. Holy crap! I was very surprised. The brief was to take a photograph that creatively captures daylight and celebrates the role natural light plays in our daily lives. I shot this in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago last year on a hot Summer day. The prize is a photo safari to NYC for two. Can't wait to explore that city and capture some new images. Thank you to the judges who picked this image. Amazing! Here is a link to the competition.
I am super excited about having mamas sauce print my new business cards. These bad boys are nothing short of excellence! 230#, 2.5" x 3.5" duplexed on Neenah epic black & natural white eggshell, foil stamped, letter pressed and printed to perfection! I could not be any happier with the outcome.
It has been some time since I picked up my brushes and painted, so for this years Art For Health Benefit I decided to give it a shot. I wanted to try something new and challenge myself a bit with painting into photographs I shot in Haiti and the D.R.
Each piece is a 24" x 36" black & white xerox print with my acrylic paint mixed in. I was not sure what to expect from this experiment, but it turned out pretty cool. I even sold 4/6 of the pieces at the benefit. This little project sparked my love for painting again and I am hoping to do some more this Winter.
It's finally here, my new website which has all my favorite projects under one roof. It was not easy sifting through twelve years of work, but made me question the kind of projects I enjoyed working on the most and the kind of work I would like to attract for the future.
After doing some extensive research on what web platforms are out there, I found that squarespace was the best one for me. Not only do they have amazing templates which I can easily customize, but the platform is super simple to use. It's also great knowing that my website will work flawless across all mobile and web browser platforms.
I created a logo to brand the invitation for our baby shower!
This year we decided to bring out some old school animated gif into action! Happy Holidays!
And the winner is… Our client Sagent Pharmaceuticals was honored with a prestigious “Chicago Innovative Award” for their Heparin packaging. It’s amazing how many people lose lives each year because they receive the wrong medication. We designed a labeling system which differentiates itself from the rest and is easily recognizable in any situation.
Designing packaging for products which can make a difference in people’s life and death situations is a great honor for us. We hope this is just the beginning of companies trying to prevent medical errors from happening within the medical world. You can see some other medical packaging we designed for Sagent Pharmaceuticals here.
